The Moon will be hosting its first book club session on 30 January 2020, 8PM!
Joined by the author, Akshita Nanda herself, come engage in a cosy night of causal conversation as we discuss her first novel, Nimita's Place.
Described as a poignant multigenerational tale, Nimita's Place explores geo-political issues such as the turmoil during the separation of India and Pakistan as well as significant events in Singapore’s history with the passing of Lee Kuan Yew. Nimita’s Place contrasts how the struggles faced by women and migrants have persisted through time but also how we differ in the way we deal with them.
Due to overwhelming response, sign-ups for the book club is now closed! Please look forward to our next session on 27 February!
